Identifying the Enemy - Professional Politicians in the U.S. House of Representatives

By Bob McNeil · October 9, 2010 · Filed in American Citizen Party, Presidential Candidate

Bob As I discussed in my October 7th post about the Senate, over the past 100 years, the professional politicians in Congress have passed an untold number of laws designed to strengthen their power and rob us of our freedoms.  To regain those freedoms, Congress must be purged of the “professional politicians” and true, citizen representation must be restored in Washington, D.C.

Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution instructs us in the election of members to the House of Representatives, as follows:

“The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature.”

Currently, there are 435 voting members, from the 50 states, in the House of Representatives.  In addition, there are 6 non-voting members, known as “Delegates”, representing the U.S. Territories, which are American Samoa, District of Columbia, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.  In total, there are 441 House seats up for election every two years.

It should be noted that approximately 8% of the seats (37 of the 441) are open.  This means that, for a variety of reasons (not running for re-election, defeated in the primary, etc.), new Representatives will be elected.

The 441 seats are held by Representatives who have been in public office for lengths of time ranging as high as 61 years.

As We the People consider the candidate for which to cast our vote, we must consider a number of factors such as age, length of time in current office, total length of time in public office and political ideology.

Unfortunately, our choices are limited to the Democrats and Republicans, the two parties that have brought our Nation to the brink of destruction.  So, once again, we will be required to hold our noses in the voting booth and vote for the lesser of two evils.  But, we all know that the lesser of two evils is still evil.

Beginning with the 2012 election, there will be another choice.

Immediately following the 2010 election, I intend to recruit American Citizen Party candidates to run for the House of Representatives against all incumbents in 2012 and defeat them with my plan to restore freedom to all American citizens.

In the meantime, I have prepared two files listing the 441 House seats up for election on November 2, 2010.

The first file lists the names of the current office holders, sorted by “Total Years in Public Office”, from the most number of years in office to the least.  This number is a more accurate method of identifying the “professional politicians” because it includes time served in the state House of Representatives, state Senate, as Governor, as state Attorneys General, on city councils and school boards, etc.

Please take a few minutes to review the document at the following link to see how many years your Representative has held public office:

The second file lists the names of the current office holders sorted by State and the District they represent.

Here is the link to that file:

The source of our problems is quite evident.  It is the “professional politicians” that have destroyed America and it is they who must be voted out of office.

Remember that our vote is the most powerful weapon on earth and they need it to stay in power.

If We the People are to restore our Nation to the Constitutional principles upon which it was founded, we must use it wisely.

For any freedom-loving American citizen who has ever thought about running for the House of Representatives, start thinking about running in 2012 as an American Citizen Party candidate.

For the rest of you who want your freedoms back, send contributions to the American Citizen Party.  We’ll begin building cash reserves to distribute to those candidates to get them elected.

This effort will continue in 2014, 2016 and beyond until the “enemies of freedom” are purged from the House of Representatives.

Working together, we will take our country back and create a 21st century America with levels of freedom and prosperity never before experienced in our lifetimes.

Thank you.

In freedom,
